Anti-fire solution to prevent fire hazard in the textile and leather industries
On the lookout for an agent that can protect your stuff from fire hazards? Search no further than the SCT flame-resistant fluid. Whether you operate in the leather, paper, or textile industry, the revolutionary formula of this solution makes everything you apply it to incombustible.
What makes this anti-fire non-fire solution unique?
While typical flame retardants can only stave off fire spreading but not protect the material from burning, the SCT one-component fire-resistant fluid prevents treated objects from flaming up in the first place. Its formula creates an invisible coat on the applied surface and serves as a solid oxygen barrier and, as a result, fire. That means it ensures 100% non-flammability of the textile, leather, wood, or other surfaces in a fire.

Stay safe with the SCT fire-resistant fluid
Willing to make your cotton or wool items non-inflammable? Just soak them in the SCT water-based anti-fire solution and let them dry. When it comes to the paint industry, you should first prepare the surface through sanding, apply the fluid, and proceed to paint once it’s even and dry.
You can use this agent whenever you need it as it is:
odorless
made up of natural substances only
safe for people and animals
free from non-tested chemicals
100% soluble
rated to reduce the smoke emitted by a treated object by 50% in a fire
certified to the A1 fire class
Test results and technical details
The SCT flame-resistant fluid has successfully passed application tests, including TS EN ISO 1716 and 1182. It has demonstrated excellent anti-combustion properties for various materials, such as wood, paper, sponge, cotton, and other fabrics, meaning the items haven’t taken fire after being treated with our solution.
Another test has been run to assess the effectiveness of the anti-fire product in a 1500° C naked flame. To this end, we’ve used the solution to cover a 14mm-thick plywood door and set up a controlled burning scenario for 40 minutes. This has been long enough to report a successful test as the door hasn’t been ablaze, with its rear-facing side going up to only 120°C.
The agent consumption rate may vary depending on the surface you apply it to. Some wood objects may absorb more fluid than others, based on their hardness. It is recommended to pre-test the soaking process before the final application to ensure that you have stocked up on enough fluid for your purpose. The average solution consumption rate is up to 0.3 kg per m2 with 1,10 ± 0,1 g/mL in density and pH of ~ 3,74 at 25°C.
As a water-based fire-resistant fluid, this solution is transparent and doesn’t affect the color of the object being treated. For this very reason, its freezing and boiling points are almost identical to those of water (-3°C and 98°C, respectively). The product’s evaporation rate is 50% as tested at 60° for 24 hours.
Whether you apply this solution to wood or textile materials, no aesthetic imperfections will ruin the process. It doesn’t cause uneven marks due to flashing or foaming.
This fluid comes in a 5-liter polyethylene drum and should be stored within the 5-35°C temperature range in a cool, dry place. You can safely use it within 24 months from the date that’s specified on the package.
